Monday June 3–Day 11 Trying out Makeup
Wow this makeup job was pretty bad. Or at least close up. I was going out, tired of putting a bandaid on my nose and trying to keep it from sweating off so I decided to try out putting some makeup on my nose to hide the scar and to put some sunscreen on it. Note to self bandaids on my face and over 100 degree weather to not mix to well.
My nostrils look a little better than they did the first few days.

Tuesday May 28–Day 5
Here is what my nose looked like after the stitches were removed. Sorry crappy pictures from my phone. When I went back to get my stitches out the nurse came in and told me I was right it was a basal cell and that I should have been a dermatologist. I laughed.

Monday May 27th–Day 4
Here is what it looked like on day 4. I get my stitches out tomorrow. Most of the stitched are internal. My doctor likes to get the ones on the outside about day 5 so when it heals you do not see the stitch marks.

Another basal cell on my nose
About 1 1/2 years ago I started getting a spot on my most that would not heal to well and kept bleeding then would scab over and heal a little then do it all over again. I knew it was a basal cell my dermatologist could not see it was. I finally decided to go and see my plastic surgeon he did not know if it was or not but did not want to biopsy it and if it was a basal cell then have to take it out. The doctor said it would leave scar tissue that would need to be removed too so the area that needed to be removed would be larger. One less shot and cutting on my nose it was not hard a hard decision. I had to wait 3 more months to get in to have it done since I was supposed to have a cyst on my stomach removed at the same time but that did not happen since it got infected again 2 weeks before so they scheduled me for 3 more months to have that removed.
I kept telling my husband that I need to get a before picture of my nose and guess what? As we were leaving still no picture so he took this before picture with my phone (not the greatest but you can see the spot).
Right after on my way home. Still numb.
Few hours after.
The whole process took about 1 hour and I was on my way home. Dr. Rowley could not remove the cyst on my stomach but did remove a new one on my back so both were done and over with in an hour.
I was shocked when I saw it. When I went in for my consult Dr. Rowley said he thought he would have to take some skin from the top of my nose and graph it around but he did not have to do this and am so glad. It looked a lot better than I expected it to but was really worried about my funny looking nostrils.

1 1/2 Years After Surgery
Here are some pictures of my nose 1 1/2 years after surgery. My husband took them on September 16th but I have not had time to get them put on here. I was told that my nose would not change much after a year but I think it really has changed. Most people I tell said they would never had guessed I had nose surgery. I am happy with the results but I still do not like my nostrils lol.
This last picture is of me with a little makeup on.
